After a lifetime in business, I switched to the Law in February, 2002. I joined Towells, believing that it would be a temporary post. However, I was hooked and by October, 2005 had successfully completed the examinations and training for the Institute of Legal Executives. During my work as a Legal Executive, I have been deployed principally in Towells’ British Coal Industrial Disease Team. I have specialised in Cases under the Claims Handling Agreement, British Coal Vibration White Finger Litigation, but I have also acquired expertise in the British Coal Respiratory Disease Litigation. To put the scale of that Litigation in context, they constitute the world’s largest Class Actions. For my part, it has been a most rewarding experience to work for Retired Miners, their Widows and families. We have been providing a really worthwhile service, where our objective is to serve the clients and to recover the Compensation to which they are entitled. I am continuing to gain experience and expertise and will strive to do everything possible to look after our clients.
Outside of work, I greatly enjoy my home life, having been married for 10 years with two sons, Jacob and Owen. At the time of “going to press” on this brief resumė, we have a third child due shortly. Whilst my employment, family life and continuing Professional Studies take up most of my waking hours, I still find time to watch my local football team.
